'Poseidon' is known as the 'God of the sea'. He is also known as the earth-shaker, due to his role in causing earthquakes. Another name for him, in latin, is Neptune. The island of Atlantis was the chosen domain of Poseidon. You can see in this sculpture, a fish caught in his beard, as if it's swimming through seaweed.
